The Pre-Event Reception is an informal evening at Centrala on 30 June, the night before the EU Citizens' Gathering. It's a separate, optional event with its own booking, hosted by Centrala and co-organised with the European Parliament.

Centrala is an art gallery and events venue in Digbeth, Birmingham's creative district, working across art, migrant support, research and policy. The evening pairs networking with a video art exhibition reflecting on irregular and precarious labour and the experiences of migrants across Europe — giving the reception a thread that connects to the themes of the Gathering itself.

The aim is simple: a welcoming space to meet other participants, speak with organisers, and settle in before the formal programme begins the next morning. A bar and light refreshments will be available throughout.

This is a separate, optional event with its own booking — hosted by Centrala and co-organised with the European Parliament. Registering for the EU Citizens' Gathering does not book you a place at the reception, so please reserve separately below.
