The EU Citizens' Gathering is a unique opportunity for EU citizens living in the UK to come together once a year, to engage with EU and UK politicians, policymakers and civil servants, to share experiences, and celebrate their community. The Gathering, organised by the EU Delegation to the UK, aims to provide a platform for EU citizens to connect, learn, and empower each other, while promoting a sense of belonging and unity.
This year's EU Citizens' Gathering is organised in partnership with The3Million and the University of Birmingham. We are delighted that the Gathering will be opened by Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Shafique Shah and Professor Robin Mason, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Birmingham.
Engagement with decision makers. Engage with EU and UK politicians during panel discussions.
Networking opportunities. Meet and connect with fellow EU citizens, community leaders, and representatives from EU and UK institutions.
Sharing of experiences and aspirations. Hear from EU citizens as well as organisations supporting and representing EU citizens in the UK, to learn about their lived experiences, challenges and vulnerabilities.
Capability-building workshops and discussions. Participate in training sessions and debates on topics relevant to EU citizens in the UK, such as fundraising, community building and others.
Explore your role in the EU-UK relationship. Understand the bigger picture of EU-UK relations and what you can do to contribute.
EU and UK politicians and diplomats. MPs, Members of the House of Lords, representatives from the devolved nations, Members of the European Parliament and representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament; diplomats and consular officers from EU Member States.
EU citizens living in the UK. Individuals and representatives from EU communities and organisations that support EU citizens in the UK, representing various backgrounds, ages, and professions.
UK-based organisations and stakeholders. Representatives from UK-based organisations, charities and stakeholders that work with EU citizens or have an interest in EU-UK relations.
Connect, learn and be inspired. Build relationships and networks and gain new insights and inspiration from the experiences and stories of others.
